"Steven F. Macevic, born August 18, 1957, passed away January 30, 2026, at the age of 68. He was a year older than his favorite number 67, as this was a number of great value to Steve because his favorite car was a 1967 Chevelle SS that he bought when he was 16 and was in the process of restoring. A car guy through and through, he spent his early years racing at Pittsburgh International Dragway before marrying his beloved wife, Sharon (1982) and having his son, Steve, Jr. (1989). Through the years, he became a highly respected mechanic at many Pittsburgh car shops and eventually became a bus mechanic for the Port Authority for over 20 years. During that time, he worked hard, but was always there as a loving husband and father. Definitely one to "march to the beat of his own drum", he was an avid fan of Scooby-doo, studio wrestling, and anything else he felt worthy of his time.
Four years ago he became a proud grandfather of two, Lily and Jack. He survived by his wife, Sharon, son, Steven, Jr. (Kaylee), and his sister, Marilyn Megahan. He will be dearly missed by his family, relatives, and friends."
If schedule permits, please attend the Mass Christian Burial Wednesday 10:30 a.m. St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Blessed Trinity Parish.
