Age 79, on Saturday, May 20, 2023, formerly of St. Clair Village.

Sharon L. Works affectionately known as “Roni”, 79 of Pittsburgh Pa, left this life to be with the Lord, on Saturday May 20, 2023 at Southwestern Nursing Home. “Roni” was born on June 6, 1943.  James Works and Sharon Poole were married on March 11, 1967.

Sharon was educated in the Pittsburgh Public School system where she received her diploma from Schenley High School.  Her favorite hobbies were Bingo and Pokeno, along with her daily trips to the Dollar Tree store, and always passing out candy to kids. Sharon took pride in having an in-home day care center for many years. Her signature “A Love Knot” hair style, and “Herr’s” Sour Cream & Onion Potato Chips.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Geraldine Poole.

 Devoted Wife and Mother she leaves to cherrish her memory is her husband of 56 years, James Works;  3 Daugthers, Darnice Works (Roy), Troy Works, Alyce Works (Raymont), a brother Maurice Poole, and a sister Joyce Ann White (William). Sharon had 5 Grandchildren -  Eric Swan Jr. (Jessica), Ashley Chatman, DaRoy Murphy, Rae-Ona Harris, Desiree Murphy.  5 Great-Grandchildren - Eniyah Swan, Jamya Swan, Eric Swan III, Derriona Smith and Alaya Smith, she also leaves to cherish her memories a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends received SATURDAY, May 27,  11 - 1 at TIMOTHY K. SLATER Funeral Services, Inc. (412-381-3337) 425 Brownsville Road, Mt. Oliver, where a Homegoing will be held at 1 pm.
