"Ronald L. Casciani, 82, of Little River, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Nov. 10, 2025.
Born on January 31, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ron was the son of the the late Orlando and Emma Casciani. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Casciani and brother-in-law, Bob Maloney,
Ron is survived by his wife of 41 years, Karen Rose Casciani. He is also survived by children Karin (Robin) Martin, and Jeff Casciani; stepson Dennis (Amy) Dietz; and grandson Brody Dietz, all of Pittsburgh; Siblings: Donna (Charles) Reinhart, Marsha Maloney, Michelle (Eric) Zima, Carol (Bruce) Foster; sister-in-law Jeannie Casciani, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graduate of Baldwin High School, Ron attended Central State College, and West Virginia University.
He worked at Cooper Tire and Rubber in New Jersey and joined the Army Reserves. He then became an Ironworker with Local Union #3 in Pittsburgh for 11 years until an accident ended his ironworking career.
Ron then attended Robert Morris College and received a BS degree in accounting. He worked for the Florida Department of Revenue as a corporate income tax auditor for many years until his retirement in 2007. He also enjoyed woodworking and home remodeling.
In 2014 he and his wife moved to Calabash, North Carolina, where they enjoyed riding bikes, walking on the beach, playing cards and games, dancing and traveling around the country in their motor home.
Ron was a loving husband, son, father, and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter, son and grandson. He will be sorely missed but remembered as a fun loving and talented man."
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
