LEGAS
Robert "Robbie" "Bobby"
On Friday, August 7, 2020, angels came to take our youngest brother, Robert, to heaven while he peacefully slept.
Cherished son of the late Edith and Henry, Sr.;
beloved brother of Henry, Jr. "Joe" (Laurie), Mary, and Michael "Mike" Legas.
He will also be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, relatives, and friends.
Bobby was a constant, joyful presence in the Mt. Oliver and surroundiing communities, with countless friends who truly thought of him as family. His loss leaves a hole in the fabric of our community that will never be fully mended, though we know he is lovingly reunited with the parents, whom he missed so much.
A message from Mary... "He will be missed by so many people. Where do you begin with a legend? He was a Mount Oliver resident all of his life. He was our neighbor, a fireman, policeman, mechanic, softball coach, church member, metal worker, electrician, plumber, DLCO helper, car navigator, Pirate fan, Penguin fan, Steeler fan, scrap and copper collector, unloaded trucks, construction supervisor, road crew worker, sold flowers, and Christmas trees. He was our buddy, our friend, and all-around great guy. Our hearts are broken, but not our spirit. Robbie lives on in all of our lives."
Visitations will be THURSDAY 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 at TIMOTHY K. SLATER Funeral Services, Inc. (412-381-3337) 425 Brownsville Road, Mt. Oliver, 15210. Bobby's funeral service will be held the following day, FRIDAY, WITH EVERYONE MEETING NEXT DOOR at the Pittsburgh Christian Fellowhip Church at 10:30 am. Following CDC guidelines, face masks are required for both.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to a fund set up for Robert through www.gofundme.com
