Age 86, formerly of Mt. Lebanon and St. Catharines, Ontario, passed away of natural causes on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

He was born October 8, 1933, to the late Coleman and Lillian Kortner. He is survived by his wife, Donna, of 63 years, children, Ken (Clare) Kortner of Richmond Hill, Ontario, and Carol (Paul) Casey of Upper St. Clair; grandfather of Kevin Kortner of Richmond Hill, and Laurene Kortner of Toronto, Colleen Casey of NYC, and Erin Casey, of Portland, Maine.

He was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and Penn State University. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, testing missiles at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. He had a long career in engineering and senior management positions in the speciality steel industry in the U.S. and Canada.
