Phyllis Mae Johnston, 74, of Hacienda Heights, California, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, after an illness.  Born August 18, 1947, in Madison, WI, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Evelyn Johnston.  She grew up in Richfield, MN, and La Crosse, WI.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ray Meade.

Phyllis will be deeply missed as a loving friend, sister, and aunt.  While she spent the second half of her life in California, she remained loyal to her Wisconsin roots as a fan of the University of Wisconsin (her alma mater) Badgers and the Green Bay Packers. She was an expert seamstress and a prolific knitter, and she enjoyed reading books and playing games.  She especially loved time with friends and family at Lake Vermilion in Minnesota.
