STOCKDALE
Mary Beth
"Mary grew her wings to fly on Thursday, June 5th, 2025, while surrounded and held by loving family after a week in UPMC Mercy ICU, and a longer period through health barriers.
Mary always wanted to be a mother and selflessly lived for her children - Terri, Tabitha, Heidi, and the late Sabrina, along with her grandchildren who she loved as a mother - Darian, Ireland, Shane, Kerwin, Nathan, RJ, and Haylee.
She was the wife of the late Robert Stockdale, who she always held as the love of her life. Mary valued a connection with her sisters, Linda, and Laura, her brothers Ralph, Lee, and Davey. She cherished the lifelong support of her parents the late Ralph, Sr. and late Elizabeth Schimborski. We are so grateful for the care her brother, Ralph, gave her until the end, as they helped each other as a team.
Mary was the type of person that already had the wings of an Angel, always giving even when she had little to give, and thinking of the simple joys in life that matter the most. She lived through the loss of her husband and a child; that is what we aspire to remember. While this loss is going to be the heaviest for us to carry, let us be like her. In Mary’s honor let’s live for the simple joys in each day, smile, and toast a cup of coffee to Mary in Heaven at peace with God."
Friends received SATURDAY, JUNE 14, 2025 from 4:30 - 7 p.m. at the TIMOTHY K. SLATER Funeral Services, Inc. (412-381-3337) 425 Brownsville Road, Mt. Oliver, Pittsburgh, PA 15210, where a Service of Remembrance will be held at 7 p.m.
