BENZ
Mark A.
Suddenly, Age 54, on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 of Brentwood, formerly of Mt. Oliver
Loving father of Ashley (Matt), and Elizabeth "Beth";
beloved son of Audrey, and the late Richard Benz, Sr.;
loving Pap of Jordan, Hayden, Logan, and Amelia "Minnie";
beloved brother of Barb (Bob), Susan, Lisa (Andy), and the late Richard, Jr (late Donna);
beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews.
"Mark grew up in Mt. Oliver; he played basketball at St Joseph’s Catholic School (grades 1-8) and attended Carrick High School. Growing up, his father introduced him to outdoor sports and he loved spending time at the family camp hunting, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors with his family and friends. Mark found his true talent in carpentry. There was nothing that he couldn’t fix and noone that he wouldn’t help. Mark lit up the room with his smile. You could often find him singing along to his favorite rock songs, cooking deer steaks, watching movies, and cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Penguins and Steelers.
Mark's dearest treasure was his family. He was the best son a mother could ask for and a lifelong friend to his siblings. If you knew Mark, you knew that his pride and joy was his two daughters, Ashley and Elizabeth, that he shared with Kimberly Novak, and his precious grandchildren. Mark was most fulfilled when he was surrounded by the laughter of Jordan, Hayden, Logan, and Amelia. They will deeply miss their best friend, Pappy Mark."
"The most beautiful people wear their hearts on their sleeves and their souls in their smiles."
Mark will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
