Age 68, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, of Allentown, originally Knoxville neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
Margaret "Maggie" (Jenkins) Speck, 68, mother, wife, and dear friend passed away on October 16, 2024 surrounded by family at Mercy Hospital after a brief illness.
Known for her kindness and love of sewing and quilting, Maggie will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was an avid photographer, who captured special moments at family events, creating memories to last a lifetime and beyond. Maggie’s family asks that she be remembered for the warmth and joy she brought to this life, not the sadness of her passing.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, George Speck, and beloved son, Martin (Julia) Speck; siblings, Robert, Jr. (Georgann), Edward, Thomas, David (Michelle), Ruth "Buffy", Joseph, and sister in law Judith (Joseph) Angello.
Loving aunt to Carrie (Vishnu) Akella, Darcy (Kris) Kwiatkowski , Andrew, Jeffrey (Kris), Daniel, Joshua (Nicole), Jessica (Robert) Longenecker, Russell Faust, David, Jr., James, Danielle Pittas, Sarah, Brent (Cassie) Angello, and Marcus (Mindy) Angello.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mercedes and Robert Jenkins Sr., sister, Mercedes (Surviving husband Robert) Faust, son, Richard Speck, and nephew Thomas Jenkins, Jr.
Will also be dearly missed by her cousins, extended family, and friends.
