BRADFORD
Lydia A.
"Lydia Alise Bradford born on October 5,1978, was the beloved daughter of George and Barbara Bradford and the cherished twin sister of Lorraine Bradford. Raised in Beltzhoover, Lydia grew up surrounded by the unwavering love of her parents, whose guidance and faith shaped her into the strong, compassionate woman she became. George and Barbara’s example of kindness and resilience left a lasting impression on Lydia’s heart, and she carried their values with her throughout her life.
Lydia attended Carrick High School, where she began to express her creativity, individuality, and unmistakable sense of style. She loved fashion and used it as a joyful way to showcase her vibrant personality. Her sense of style was unmatched. She found joy in the simple pleasures—reading, singing, and picnics in the park with her children. Lydia also enjoyed attending Beltzhoover Community Day, where she connected with neighbors, celebrated her community’s spirit, and created lasting memories with loved ones.
Lydia shared her life with her four siblings: Deon, Yvette, Angelique, and her twin sister, Lorraine. Her brother Deon was a pillar of strength and guidance throughout her life, always ready to offer support and wisdom. Yvette and Angelique were not only her sisters but also her closest friends, sharing a bond filled with love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. Lydia and Lorraine navigated life’s joys and challenges side by side, creating countless cherished memories that spanned a lifetime. Whether sharing laughter, tears, or quiet moments of reflection, their hearts were forever intertwined.
A devoted and loving mother, Lydia’s greatest joy came from her ten beautiful children: Anjul, Amonae, Alivia, Amillyn, Ameea, Alise, Anumi, Amure, and Asage. Her love for them was deep, unconditional, and unwavering. She loved her children more than anything in this world and dedicated herself completely to their happiness and well-being. Lydia was their biggest cheerleader—supportive, proud, and always in their corner. Whatever dreams her children held, big or small, she encouraged them to chase them with confidence and heart. She believed in each of them fiercely and without hesitation. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Lyndale, whose memory she carried tenderly in her heart every day. Lydia’s legacy lives on through her children—each one a reflection of her strength, her compassion, and her boundless love. In their hearts and in their lives, her influence continues to shine.
That legacy also continues through her two beautiful granddaughters, Xina and Gia, daughters of Amonae.Lydia embraced being a grandmother with the same warmth and devotion she gave as a mother.
Lydia will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, and her ability to make everyone feel seen and loved. Though life gave her both blessings and trials, Lydia faced it all with resilience. She was a fighter, a provider, a protector, and a nurturer. Her life was not always easy, but it was full—full of meaning, full of connection, and full of love. Lydia Alise Bradford was a woman of grace, faith, and fierce love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered."
