Louise (Sobolak) Schneider
Of Baldwin, formerly of Knoxville, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025 at the age of 96.
Louise was the daughter of the late Rosalia (Lubawski) and Joseph L. Sobolak. She was born in Heidelberg, Pennsylvania and grew up on the SouthSide of Pittsburgh.
Beloved wife of the late Francis W. Bernhardt and Henry W. Schneider. Preceded in death by her two siblings - Agnes Mielcarek and Cecilia Grzeskiewicz.
Louise is survived by her three loving children: Frances 'Susan' (Gerald) Finnegan, Philip (Pamela), and Barbara; six grandchildren - Gerald, Jr., Deborah, Thomas, Robert, Eric, and Anastasia; ten great grandchildren - Joshua, Matthew, Christopher, Amber, Justin, Reese, Maura, Alexander, Samantha, and the late Taylor; and four great-great grandchildren - Kayden, Avery, Josh, Jr., and Aubrey.
Louise was a loving homemaker who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and reading romance novels. Many who knew her were gifted with her special handmade afghans, pillows, scarfs, hats, crafts, etc. She often shared her talents with friends, teaching and helping them with their knitting and crocheting patterns. She enjoyed taking bus day trips with her sisters and cousins and also their monthly get-togethers to play cards.
After the passing of her first husband, Louise worked as a secretary for the Crane Plumbing Company until remarrying. She returned to work in the 70s as Office Manager for Acme Printing Company for a number of years.
"Louise, Mom, Grandma, Memee, Great Grandma, and Great-Great Grandma" will be dearly missed by all.
