Age 68, on Saturday, July 13, 2024, of Brentwood, formerly of Mt. Oliver.

Son to the late Charles and Helen (Klein) Brophy.  Kevin is survived by his partner Darlene; daughters Darcy (Jeremy), Candice (Jim), Britney (William) Edgar, and Alysha; grandchildren Robby, Kyler, Kevin, Britney, Brenna, Jimmy and Paige; brother to Charles (Donna) Brophy, Kathleen (the late Jim) Clapperton, and the late Helen Brophy, Mary Brophy, and Jack (Lana) Brophy. He is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. 

"Always quick with a pun, Kevin kept everyone around him laughing and smiling. His Irish charm gave way to many tantalizing stories that could keep even the most courageous fellow grasping the edge of their chair. You would often find him watching an old Sci-Fi, playing chess with his grandson, building a model ship, or entertaining an audience. There was never a sad face after an encounter with Kevin, and there will continue to not be, in the memories and stories that will be shared for decades after his departure from this earth."
