Jack entered his Savior Jesus Christ’s heavenly kingdom on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. Husband of 55 years and now is reunited with his beloved wife, Alvera (Vera) Perugini Park, who passed away on June 28, 2024.

Jack was born on October 10, 1944 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Park, and his foster brother, A. Charles Sullivan. Jack is survived by Vera’s cousin, Robert Marsh.

Jack retired several times as the first sales manager at Henne Jewelers in Shadyside after 45+ years of committed service. Earlier in his professional career, Jack worked at West Penn Hospital in the X-Ray Department and manager at Woolworths Department Store. Jack was devoted and loyal to his county and served in the Air Force National Guard Reserves for six years.

Jack’s faith was of upmost important to him in his life. Jack was deeply involved in the Mount Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church. His leadership involved serving as a Deacon, Elder and Trustee. For many years, he was a leader on the Sperry, Cameron, Horne Senior Adult Ministry Board and served on the Church’s Mission Team. Jack’s leadership and service to his Church, and his living out his faith, have made such a lasting positive impact on so many.

Jack will be remembered for the great stories that he told, the knowledge that he possessed of the history of Pittsburgh, his Church, and the country, his Welsh heritage and his unwavering friendship and kindness, which has left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Although our hearts are saddened by our loss, we rejoice in knowing that Jack and Vera are together with the Lord.

A memorial service will be held at the Mount Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 255 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA  15216, on Monday, August 12, 2024 at 10:00 am. Please meet at the Church. Burial will be private.

To honor his memory, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack’s honor may be made to the Mount Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church to support the Sperry, Cameron, Horne Senior Adult Ministry and the Mission Team of the Church.
