"Jocelyn Angela Preston, lovingly known as “Jocie,” passed away on May 30, 2026. She was born on October 25, 1955, to the late Charles Henry Preston and Saphronia (Drew) Preston.
Jocie was a kind and gentle soul, truly a sweet person with “not a bad bone in her.” She will be remembered for her warm spirit and the quiet kindness she showed to those around her.
She spent many years working at Kennywood, where she was a dedicated employee until her retirement. Jocie also made her home for many years in Duquesne, where she was a familiar and friendly presence in the community.
Jocie is survived by her loving sister, Ursula (Preston) Burton, and brother-in-law, Richard Charles Burton, of Pittsburgh, PA and her brother, Michael Todd Preston, of New Port Richey, FL. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her, and her memory will be cherished always.
The family has chosen not to hold memorial services.
The family finds comfort in the Bible’s beautiful promise at Revelation 21:3, 4, which assures us that God will soon “wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” This gives us confidence as we continue to rely on Jehovah for his strength and the peace that only he can and will supply."
