Jemaine "Maino" Thomas

With profound sadness and deep love, we celebrate the life of Jemaine “Maino” Thomas, a devoted father, beloved son, cherished brother, loyal friend, and dedicated servant to his community.

Born on July 27, 1981, and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Jemaine was known for his compassionate heart, infectious personality, and unwavering commitment to helping others. He dedicated his professional life to serving those in need as a Service Coordinator with Mercy Behavioral Health, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals and families. For Jemaine, helping people was not simply a career; it was his calling.

Above all else, Jemaine loved being a father. His daughter, Jemeya Thomas (Theresa Atkins), was the center of his world and his greatest accomplishment. He took immense pride in supporting, guiding, and loving her, and the bond they shared was one of the most meaningful parts of his life.

Jemaine was the beloved son of Antoinette Thomas (James Thomas) and nephew to Kim DeLancey-Moon. He was the cherished twin brother of Jameaze Thomas, with whom he shared a unique and unbreakable bond. He is also survived by his loving brothers, James Thomas and Jeremie Thomas, and sister, Tamara Brown, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, coworkers, and loved ones who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.

Anyone who knew Jemaine knew he was a man who loved life. He was a passionate fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and could often be found cheering them on every season. He was also a true pool enthusiast, enjoying countless hours around the table with family and friends, sharing laughs, stories, and friendly competition.

Though Jemaine's time with us was far too short, the love he gave, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will live on forever. His legacy is one of compassion, service, strength, and devotion to family. Jemaine had a personality that could light up any room. His humor, authenticity, and ability to connect with people made everyone feel welcome. Whether offering a helping hand, words of encouragement, or simply making someone laugh, he left a lasting impression wherever he went. Those closest to him will forever hear his favorite phrase echoing in their hearts:  Big FACTZ!

Jemaine's life was a gift to all who knew him. While our hearts mourn his passing, we are grateful for the years, memories, and love we were privileged to share. The Thomas family respectfully requests privacy during this difficult time as they grieve this unexpected loss.
