In Loving Memory of Duong Do...

Duong Do, of Pleasant Hills, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the age of 69.

He was a devoted husband, a loving father to three children, and a cherished grandfather to six. Duong had a gift for bringing people together. He loved the company of others and often captured those special moments through photography, a passion that reflected his deep love for life and connection.

After the Vietnam War, Duong immigrated to the United States with his pregnant wife and two young children, seeking a better life. He embraced his role as a family man with unwavering dedication, working tirelessly, often holding two jobs for many years to build a stable and hopeful future for his family. His greatest desire was to ensure that his children could flourish beyond the foundation he and his wife laid.

Duong honored his role as a father with great pride and humility, grounded in his deep faith in the Father above. We find comfort knowing he is now rejoicing in the presence of his beloved Savior.

The Do family extends heartfelt gratitude to Pleasant Hills Church for sponsoring them, Reverend Dupree for his early guidance, and Pastor Kevin, whose time and care meant so much in Duong’s final years. Thank you to the Hinkel family for helping navigate life in a new country, the Arnoldt family for providing work opportunities, Steve Sherman for being a longtime friend, Elizabeth Tang for her friendship and support as both teacher and mentor, Timothy K. Slater for his guidance with funeral arrangements, and the many cherished family and friends who walked alongside Duong on his journey."

Friends received TUESDAY, April 15, 2025, 2 pm - 6 pm at STEPHEN D. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Route 51, (Large) Jefferson Hills, 15025. Funeral service will be held FRIDAY, April 18, 2025 at THE PLEASANT HILLS CHURCH, 199 Old Clairton Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236, at 10 a.m. followed by interment at the Lebanon Church Cemetery.
