On Friday, October 11, 2024, Claire passed away peacefully surrounded by her family.

Age 95 of West View, originally Coraopolis, PA. 

A daughter of the late Joseph and Christina (Bebjak) Soza.  Preceded in death by her loving partner, Max Simmeth and her five siblings, Johnny, Bill, Tony, Mary Ann, and Gloria.

Loving mother of Richard O’Rourke, Gary O’Rourke (deceased), Mark O’Rourke, Kenneth O’Rourke (deceased), Kathleen Pasquarelli (Alfred), and Patricia O’Rourke Waibel (Ray).

Beloved “Mamie” to 16 grandchildren: Jennifer (Norman) Palko, Christine (Frank) Lampasi, Melissa (Ryan) Skasik, Ricky Shriver, Kenny (Kayla) O’Rourke, Joseph (Kate) Shriver, Amanda O’Rourke, Stephen Shriver, Melissa Pasquarelli, Bryan (Hannah) Shriver, Julia Shriver, Valerie Shriver, Jessica (Laura) Pasquarelli, Mark O’Rourke, Rico O’Rourke, Alivia Waibel and many great-grandchildren.

Will also be dearly missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mamie lived a full life.  She regularly attended mass. She loved to go to dances, play Bingo and cards, and shop.  Mamie enjoyed spoiling her family and hosting everyone for the holidays. 

There will be a Committal Service for Claire on WEDNESDAY, October 16, 2024, 12:30 p.m. at Christ our Redeemer Cemetery (Northside) 204 Cemetery Lane, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
