WANG
Chujun "Chu"
Chujun "Chu" Wang, beloved wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on October 13, 2024, at the age of 31. Born on April 1, 1993, in Lanzhou, China, Chu moved to Finland at the age of five, then lived in Chicago, IL, Pittsburgh, PA, and St. Catharines, Ontario, before returning to Pittsburgh in 2015. She was a bright spirit who embraced life with love, faith, and joy.
As a devoted follower of Christ, Chu spent time daily in prayer with God and reading her bible. She loved to sing songs of worship and was deeply involved in her church community at Pittsburgh Chinese Church Oakland (PCCO), where she participated in children’s ministry, hosted and led bible studies, and shared her love of God through hosting small group gatherings and reading scripture for Sunday service. She found joy in cooking and sharing food at home, playing board games, and enjoying bubble tea. She always made sure to have snacks for guests and celebrate birthdays with cake. She enjoyed artwork and painting and spending time traveling with family and friends.
Chu graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Health Sciences from McMaster University and dedicated several years to biomedical research at the University of Pittsburgh. At the time of her passing, she was pursuing a Master of Accountancy at the University of North Dakota, driven by her passion for learning and helping others.
Chu is survived by her loving husband Andrew, her parents Jicheng Wang and Xiurong “Laura” Chu, her brother Ray Wang, and a wide circle of friends who cherished her kindness and faith.
Chujun will be remembered for her unwavering faith, love for family and friends, and her eagerness for the furtherance of God’s Kingdom. She was deeply satisfied with her life and relationships that God had given her and wanted to walk with God by living a simple and humble life. May her memory inspire us to live with the same compassion and joy she embodied.
Visitation and Service will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at PCCO, 134 N. Dithridge St, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. A luncheon will follow the ceremony. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. A Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. ending approximately 12:45.
