Charles Anthony “Tony” Niederberger, 69, passed away in his sleep on October 7, 2024 in Wilmerding PA.

Tony, the son of Herbert E. Niederberger and Geraldine McGarry Niederberger, both deceased, was born on January 27, 1955, in Sacramento, California. Tony throughout his life worked primarily as a chef at many nationally acclaimed restaurants. He settled in Pittsburgh and later received an Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the Community College of Allegany County as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Point Park University. Tony worked locally as a social worker specializing in chemical and alcohol dependence. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Helen, and survived by his brothers, Phil, Mike, Dan, Herb Jr. and Joe Niederberger, as well as his sisters, Caroline Pearson, Frances Niederberger, Mary Lee and Therese Shane.  He will  be interred in Sacramento California.
