Charles "Charlie"

Age 76, on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, of Mt. Oliver Borough.

Beloved husband of Sandra "Sandy" Seiler for 35+ years;

beloved father of Craig Donath; beloved son of the late Mary Margaret T. (Sullivan) Donath and Charles Donath;

beloved brother of Dennis (Michelle Rekrut) Donath, Mary T. (Joe) Stine, and the late Ellen Jane (the late Robert) Cantelo, Eric "Ricky" Donath, and Marlene Donath.

Will be dearly missed by his family and friends, and especially four-legged felines.

He was born Februray 15, 1948 in Jersey City, NJ. He was in the US Air Force during the Vietnam Era. Charlie was a crew chief for the maintenance of C130A Airplanes. He always felt that his time of service was easier because he was stationed in Japan. "The real soldiers saw the war." That is what began his love of all things with wings. His hobby was building model airplanes and he joined several different modeling clubs in Pittsburgh when he met his wife, Sandy.  His insurance policy was his extreme collection of plastic models, airplane books, and magazines, which he loved to talk about with anybody!

Charlie's other love was rescuing cats. He saved many over the years. He often donated to KITTEN SCOOP RESCUE because the owner Amanda Coates does an amazing job. She is honoring him by naming one of the current rescues "Charlie".

Friends received MONDAY 2 - 5 pm at TIMOTHY K. SLATER Funeral Services, Inc. (412-381-3337) 425 Brownsville Road, Mt. Oliver, 15210, where a service will be held at 5:00 pm.

Burial with military honors at a later date at the National Cemetery of the Allegenies.
