Arlene

Ended her battle with ovarian cancer on Tuesday, December 27, 2016.  An upbeat and lively woman, Arlene was a bright spot in the life of all who knew her.   Arlene was very outgoing, greeting everyone she met with a laugh and a smile and never knew a stranger.  Arlene will be deeply missed by those who knew her.

A resident of various State Centers in her early years, Arlene resided in her own home with the assistance of her Community Options caregivers.   Arlene was an aquarium buff, loved the sun and grooving to soul or gospel music.  Arlene attended the adult senior program at Step by Step through the week.  There she enjoyed socializing with her friends and caregivers, laughing, playing jokes and participating in a variety of activities.    She could be found sunning herself in front of the large windows at the senior program, watching game shows and police dramas or enjoying the outdoors on her large patio at home.  Recently Arlene had discovered the “Cinema in the Park” program this past summer and looked forward to enjoying the summer night air while viewing a movie.
