Jay and I met in our late teens, lost track of each other after mutual military service. A few years ago we reconnected after my searching the 'net for his name.. I expected many more years of conversations with him. Saddened by his passing. It was a privilege to have known him as a friend.

He was the first brother I had.. I was constantly posing for his camera and talented eye. Later in life I sent him 8 vintage cameras for his enjoyment. He would sit with me and play with Grandma's endless supply of Legos. He was always dashing. His hair curly and clean cut., His smile was as beautiful as his heart, and the twinkle in his eye warning you something funny was about to happen. He wore turtlenecks in snowy winter and tshirts in the smothering summer heat.. I was quite popular, because Jay, being a teenager, (translated to being cool in the early sixties) was kind to all my little girlfriends who had crushes on him. His quick and funny wit made all ages laugh. We spoke on the phone for an hour at a time. We laughed for an hour at a time. His daughter was his love. Always missing her. His cats were his endless entertainment. I hope he is together with Aunt Teddy and Uncle Bill, two of the most kind and loving people, who raised this extraordinary man. And, I know, like the Pied Piper, the cats are following him everywhere he goes. Love you forever, cousin.
