From the time I was young, I've been proud of our family's history of funeral service in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Upon purchasing this funeral home in Mt. Oliver (formerly J.D. Schaub's, late 1890's - 1967, and H.A. Farnsworth's 1967 - 2009), I reminisce and picture those times, over a century ago, when my family was working and living here on the hilltop. I more fully realize, and appreciate, one of the things in life that takes time. Relationships. And that is what gives meaning to funerals.
My name is Tim Slater, a 5th generation funeral director. I'm honored to be back in Mt. Oliver, serving the hilltop, and the south Pittsburgh area.
