Pre-Arrangements

When it comes to your personal arrangements, it can be helpful to discuss your ideas with your family and funeral director.  It can also be helpful to discuss funding options.  Working together in this way can create a sense of relief for both you and your family.

I would like to share the response letter below concerning a phone call received asking about funeral information.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. .... ,

My name is Tim, and thank you for calling yesterday inquiring about funeral services.  I know it’s not commonplace to call to a funeral home and isn’t an easy thing to do. 

As I mentioned on the telephone, I would appreciate meeting sometime when convenient, for it’s hard to get to know a funeral director via a mailing or phone call.  In part, due to having a heart for teaching and for people, I make it very easy and comfortable to learn the different options of service, and all that is involved with planning funerals and, very importantly, dealing with funeral homes/directors.  This is not an occupation for me, but more so a calling and ministry.
