Monica "Moni" Meis Obituary
Age 70, on Thursday, April 11, 2024, of Mt. Oliver.
Monica, or “Moni”, as she is remembered by her loved ones, will remain forever in our hearts and minds.
Moni blessed us with her unselfish love, her kindness, her genuine concern for others, her thoughtfulness, loyalty, and sense of humor. She always made us smile, laugh, and feel better about ourselves.
Moni inspired us as she fought her good fight for 10 years – never complaining, never asking “why me?” always facing the next challenge with courage and determination.
Moni’s faith in God was real and deep. God blessed her final days with peace and serenity for which we are profoundly grateful.
Rest in peace, Moni. Watch over us.
Monica is survived by her loving sisters Martha Meis, Carolyn Meis Kutsuflakis, Emma Meis Damoulakis, and her loving partner John Lesko.
She will be dearly missed by her loving family, relatives, and friends.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024, at St. Mary of the Mount Church (Mary, Queen of Peace Parish) at 10 am.
